The Bearing LifeGuard
Model MDA-400 is a unique handheld instrument designed for use by maintenance personnel with little or no expertise in vibration analysis. It puts important actionable information on the condition of your machines rolling element bearings in your hands right at the machine site. The display screen shown illustrates the information provided. It estimates the probability of failure, the reduction in expected life, the financial risk and provides fault alarm warnings. No complicated vibration analysis is required. It does all the work for you.
It will collect and store up to 500 scheduled or unscheduled data points. The stored data may be flash or wireless uploaded to a supervisory Windows XP PC with the companion full MDA 101 Bearing LifeGuard software for trending and further detailed analysis if needed. This software includes all of the powerful features of the MDA 100 and 200 systems. It works with a standard industrial grade 100 mv/g, 24 volt constant current accelerometer with a typical 18/20 kHz mounted resonance. It includes a built in Barcode scanner and a 100 kHz NI-DAQ with a BNC input and internal CC power supply.
